Over the past few years, The Cowan Foundation—a not-for-profit organizations sustained by the success of the Princeton Holdings group of companies (The Guarantee Company of North America, Frank Cowan Company, Cowan Insurance Group and its subsidiaries, and Cowan Asset Management) has partnered with the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging on a number of highly impactful initiatives. In 2016, The Cowan Foundation is pleased to collaborate, once again, with the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA) through a grant of $100,000 to support a joint initiative managed through the RIA and the Homewood Research Institute (HRI).
This specific donation will support the joint efforts of RIA and HRI to provide leadership in integrating research, education and practice together in aging, and mental health and addiction.
According to the RIA, the recent gift from The Cowan Foundation will pave the way for RIA and HRI to more effectively mobilize and apply the latest research. Through collaboration, both organizations can make strides in closing the gap between research and practice.
This contribution aligns with The Foundation’s priority of supporting programs focused on improving the health and wellness of individuals in our communities, with particular attention to seniors.
