320 Trees Planted at Onondaga Farms

Employees from the Cowan Offices in Brantford, Paris, Hamilton, and Cambridge, along with invited family members and friends, came together to plant 320 trees on Saturday, May 27th at Onondaga Farms.

With shovels in hand and an eagerness to make a difference, over 100 adults, children, and youth participated in The Cowan Foundation’s first Community Action Day. We sincerely thank all volunteers and our event partners, Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, for making the day a resounding success.

Onondaga Farms is one of seven Tim Hortons Foundation camps that help youth from underserved communities achieve their full potential and is located on 400 acres of farm and wetlands.

In addition to new trees planted on the property, a wetland restoration project which the Foundation is funding with Ducks Unlimited Canada will begin this fall. We are proud to play a role in ensuring the environmental health of this property is maintained for years to come.
