Wetland Restoration

Cowan Foundation’s 2nd Community Action Day of 2023 took place on Saturday, September 16th at Brick Ponds Wetlands in Woodstock.

In collaboration with Ducks Unlimited Canada and the City of Woodstock, over 80 Cowan Insurance employees, alongside their families and friends, planted trees and assembled turtle logs in efforts to continue vital wetland restoration work.

Brick Ponds is primarily owned by The City of Woodstock and is one of Canada’s largest urban wetlands. Since 2018, Ducks Unlimited has been at the forefront of efforts to restore and rejuvenate this invaluable ecosystem so it can continue to help filter water, shelter wildlife and retain spring floodwaters.
