As part of the 2013 Cowan Holiday Card Program, The Cowan Foundation presented a cheque for $50,000 to Girl Guides of Canada. These funds will be directed to the Girls First project which will focus on ensuring that Girl Guide programming is current, relevant and meet the expectations of girls and women across Canada.
The Holiday Card Program has donated close to $350,000 to a variety of Canadian charities since its inception in 2004. Funding under this program occurs in the spirit of giving during the holiday season and the recipients of the program are determined annually.
