It is National Volunteer Week - Let’s Celebrate!

This year, National Volunteer Week takes place April 12-18th, with the mandate of recognizing, celebrating and thanking Canada’s volunteers. This week is also about taking action and encouraging individuals to contribute to the well-being of our communities, demonstrating that by working together, we have the fortitude to make a significant positive impact.  The Cowan Foundation supports this culture, with our employees continually rising to the challenge and actively participating with charities and other organizations that matter to them, our business partners and clients.

Each year, The Cowan Foundation runs a Community Volunteer Program to give our employees , who volunteer at least 50 hours in the program year, the chance to donate $750 through The Cowan Foundation to their charity of choice. Since inception in 2003, the program has donated over $410,000 to employee directed charities. The Cowan Foundation would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped change lives through their involvement and to those who continue their commitment year after year. In the words of Helen Keller “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

Thank you!
