Investing in Research to Aid Military Members and Veterans

The Cowan Foundation is pleased to support a new research initiative, led by Homewood Research Institute, that will study Goal Management Training, a therapy aimed at improving memory, focus and concentration to improve functional outcomes. This project is specifically focused on assisting military members and veterans who are experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“This initiative provides an opportunity to collaborate with partners who want to make an impact,” explains Terry Reidel, Executive Director, The Cowan Foundation. “By working with the Homewood Research Institute, the Military Casualty Support Foundation and Schlegel Health Care Incorporated, we are able to pool resources towards a common goal – to improve transitions from military to civilian employment and ultimately enhance our military personnel’s quality of life.”
