Burford Thanks The Cowan Foundation as Lions Way Bridge Officially Opens

In 2011, The Cowan Foundation contributed $10,000 towards the completion of the Lions Way pedestrian bridge over Whiteman’s Creek in Burford, an initiative headed up by the Burford Lions Club.  On November 7th the bridge officially opened and Millie Nagle, Sales & Service Representative from Cowan Insurance Group’s Burford office was on site to celebrate and accept a special award. “I was honoured to accept the Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of The Cowan Foundation,” says Nagle. “I use this bridge all the time and see lots of parents with their children as well as seniors walking and riding their bikes. It has truly improved our community.”
